Diary of the Open Road: Day 36

I'm not much of a city girl. I much prefer open spaces and stillness over skyscrapers and the busyness of city life other people thrive in.

But something about San Francisco...

The architecture, the steep hills and flowers, the light. l couldn't get enough of it. Despite not feeling physically well yesterday, we couldn't help but spend the day exploring the neighbourhoods and later, sunset across the sea followed dropping into a good pub on the corner of Sutter.

A day well spent. A city I will definitely return to in a heartbeat.

One of the most obvious realizations I have had early on in this road trip is that three months is not enough time to travel a continent. Only enough to highlight the places worth revisiting for a much longer time than the first.

San Francisco is on my map.
