Diary of the Open Road: Day Three

A memorable day for a memorable girl. We ran around Ithaca, New York, like the awkward tourists we are, golden balloons twirling in the wind. Our morning began with some of the best coffee I have had (shout out to Ithaca Bakery) and Morgan crying over letters I had some of her family and friends write her as a birthday surprise (best. reaction. ever. Good job, Morgz). We visited waterfalls, ate tacos, and laughed until we couldn’t laugh anymore.

I am so very grateful to have this friend. She is as caring and genuine as they come and constant joy to be around.

Which is a really good thing considering we will be living in a van together for the next three months.

Just praying we’re still friends by the end of this.

But so far so good folks, so far so good.

I think the best way to share the story of this day is to do so visually. Here’s to your golden birthday! Here’s to you, Morgan!
